For Mikuo Lovers

You were walking around the Vocaloid house with Miku. She was giving you a tour since you were the newest Vocaloid, your master seeing her in the studio earlier today when she volunteered to do this. So far you'd met the Kagamine twins, Kaito, Luka, and Meiko. You smiled when you saw Kaito and Miku blushing a little when they were speaking to each other before you and she moved on to showing you your room, passing by a boy who looked a lot like Miku. He muttered a small "Hi" before hurrying off after the twins, who had played a trick on him. Your artificial heart skipped a beat when he walked past you, and your face went a bright red.

"Hey, Miku-chan," you said respectively.

"Oh, ______. How many times do we all have to tell you that just our names will do," Miku asked while giving you a smile.

"Sorry, force of habit," you say while smiling back at her.

"It's okay. What was your question," she said while opening the door to your room.

"Who was the person that walked by," you asked while looking in your room, being covered with the color that detailed your clothes.

"Oh, that was my brother Mikuo. He usually isn't that quiet, though."

You nodded and thanked Miku for the tour before she left. You closed your door and layed on your bed, falling asleep and before you know it, Miku's knocking on your door. When you answer it, she smiles at you and says, "Your master wants you at the studio. He said he wanted you to start recording your song."

"Thanks Miku. I'll see you later," you said while running down to the studio, saying a quick "Hi" to Kaito and Mikuo as you ran past. You grabbed a piece of toast from the kitchen and ate quickly before you came into the studio, your master turning to you and smiling.

"Are you ready," he asked while you connected your headphones to the recording equipment. You nodded as you started singing on your cue. After a couple of hours, you finished off the song and your master applauded after the recording was done. You smiled and took a small bow before you disconnected your headphones.

"That was beautiful, ______. Why don't you go and talk with the other Vocaloids while I stay here and see if there's anything we need to work on," he said while smiling down at you.

"Thank you, Master," you said while hurrying off back to the Vocaloid house, thinking, "Maybe I could get to know Mikuo and the others a little more."

Shortly after you had ran past Mikuo and Kaito, Mikuo had started turning a bright pink as you ran down the stairs. Kaito noticed this and smirked as Mikuo turned toward him, a scowl on his face as he said, "What's so funny?"

"Oh, I think you know what, Mikuo. Just look at your reflection in the window," Kaito said while chuckling. Mikuo did so and turned from pink to red as he turned back to Kaito, who was now laughing his head off.

"Hey, stop laughing at me, Kaito," Mikuo yelled while trying to hide his face from Kaito's view.

"Oh, Mikuo. I think you have a crush on ______," Kaito said once his laughter had calmed down.

"What!? How can I when I just met her yesterday," Mikuo asked, his voice muffled by being covered up. Kaito laughs again and shakes his head while looking at Mikuo, who had finally come out of hiding. Kaito simply says, "Love's funny like that. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go get some ice cream."

Mikuo looked from Kaito's shrinking form to the window where he saw his blushing, completely confused about everything, before going off to find someone with advice.

You had just gotten back when Miku and Kaito came to you, laughing about something. Kaito gave you a smile and left you and Miku alone, heading to the kitchen. Miku was still smiling at you while the two of you were walking around the house again.

"What were you and Kaito laughing about," you asked while the twins raced by.

"Oh, just the fact that my brother actually likes a girl, and he's confused by it all," she said while waving at Luka, who had walked past.

"Oh," you said while trying to hide your disappointment, but Miku caught it.

"You like Mikuo. I knew it," she said quietly, keeping your privacy in mind.

"I don't know why. We just met yesterday," you say exasperated while walking down another hall to see Meiko talking to Mikuo. You blush a bright red, not noticing that he does the same before Miku turns you to your door and says, "Here's your room again. Hone sweet home." You give her a quick "Thanks again" before hurrying into your room and closing the door, your face going an even darker red. You slide against the door and start daydreaming before you change into your pajamas and go to bed, falling asleep to dreams of Mikuo, since it was about 10:00 p.m.

It's been a couple of months and what you thought was a simple crush was growing into love, you soon realized. You would hang out with the twins and every once in a while help with their pranks, and hang out with Miku and Meiko every day. You and Mikuo had grown closer as he helped you out with lyrics and just hang out with you. Both of you would laugh and talk for hours while singing parts of lyrics that you were struggling with. You would even play some of the music since part of your programming was to be able to play the guitar. He would smile and listen to the cues you played before singing along with you. For some reason, neither of you would notice Miku and Kaito spying on the two of you whenever you did this, waiting for one of you to do something that would at least hint that you two liked each other, but it never came.

It was one of those days that you and Mikuo were just hanging out again, in your bedroom while you started playing your guitar as usual and he was reading over one of your older songs, something that you two would do just for fun. You were in your newly designed magnet outfit, your butterfly headphones on your bedside table as you closed your eyes and started playing. You were sitting on one end of your bed while Mikuo was laying out across the other end, his headphones around his neck. He looked over to you, blushing slightly when he saw your eyes closed and you smiling as you played, your (h/c) hair down instead of being in it's usual side braid. Mikuo turned his gaze back to the lyrics of a sheet and said, "Is this the new song you're working on, _____?"  

You opened your eyes and looked at the lyrics. It was your first song that you recorded. You shook your head while saying, "Actually, that's the first one I recorded. It was one of the easiest ones, too."

"Then how come we haven't goofed around with it like your other easy songs," Mikuo asked, his aqua eyes looking into your (e/c) eyes.

You shrugged and said, "Wanna goof around with it now?"

"How about we goof around with it some other time," he said.

You, now used to how he can change his mind in a second, simply say, "Sure."

Mikuo and Kaito are staring at the two of you through your slightly open door, clearly frustrated with you and Mikuo for not just telling each other your feelings since both of them had the nerve to do it after you first month of living here. You and Mikuo were both thinking about how stupid you two felt for not saying anything, either. You started just taking your frustration out through playing your guitar, having it calm you down while Mikuo started singing the lyrics that went with the song you were playing. What you didn't notice was that he was coming closer as he did this. You only did notice when you finished the last note of the song and looked up to see Mikuo's face very close to yours. You blushed a bright red, but noticed that he was already a shade darker than you as he said, "You know, that song got me thinking about how to tell you something I've been wanting to say for a while."

You, now realizing that it was an old love song that you were playing, said, "What do you want to tell me?"

Mikuo whispered in your ear, "I love you, _____."

You, now in shock, whispered, "I love you too, Mikuo."

You were still in shock as he kissed you, but after a second you kissed back while closing your eyes. His arms that were on either side of you were now wrapped around your waist. Your arms had gently set your guitar against your bedside table before going around his neck, playing with his aqua hair. You two jumped apart when Miku and Kaito crashed in, Miku falling on top of Kaito. Your guitar had fallen to the floor but luckily wasn't broken, and you and Mikuo were beet red. Miku simply smiled and said, "Well, we better be off. Come on, Kaito, these two lovebirds need some privacy." Kaito gave you a smile and Mikuo a thumbs up before being dragged out by Miku, saying "Have fun, you two!"

After your bedroom door was closed, you looked over to Mikuo and then back to the door a couple of times, still beet red. Mikuo chuckled a little and wrapped his arms around your waist again saying, "Well, it looks like we were caught. Why don't we get some more work done before your master throws a tantrum?"

You nod while picking up you guitar, starting off the music.

You had managed to get Mikuo into the recording studio without so much as a complaint, both of your butterfly headphones starting to glow. He put an arm around your shoulders while you started off singing the song. Throughout the entire time, he sang the lyrics like how both of you would do your practice sessions. You smiled up at him at the end of the song and pecked his cheek, making him smile as his other hand and one of yours intertwined together. Both of your masters were congratulating each other and the two of you, but neither of you heard a thing until they dismissed you.

You walked out hand in hand, passing by an ice cream shop where you could see Miku and Kaito sharing one. You and Mikuo smiled and waved while they did the same before going back to their ice cream. You and Mikuo chuckled at them before you arrived back at the house. You were in your room fooling around with a bunch of old songs like usual, except that you kept giving each other little hints that you love each other nowadays just to remind each other that that day wasn't just a dream, but a dream come true.
