For Yugi Mutou Lovers Request

Looking around the library for your friend, you couldn't help feeling like he'd forgotten about your agreement-again. You knew that Yugi was busy, but you didn't want to waste your time helping him out with school and figuring out who Yami really was if he wasn't going to show. Sighing, you did another quick look around before grabbing your backpack and standing up to leave. Slightly disappointed that you didn't get to see your best friend for the- was it the fifth time so far? It was only when you walked through the entrance that you saw that familiar head of tri-colored spiky hair. Despite how upset you were with him, you couldn't help the smile that was on your face when Yugi finally came up to you, hands on his knees and panting for breath. Gently rubbing his back, you asked, "Are you alright there, Yugi?"

As soon as he was able to breathe at a normal rate, he stood to his full height and said, "I'm so sorry, ______. Joey and Tristan got into another fight and then-"

"-Woah, Yugi. Calm down. I get it, you've got alot to do. You could have at least given me a call, though," you said while sitting on the steps, placing your backpack on the side.

His head fell in shame as he said, "I know, and I really am sorry for not being around that often. I should have been there."

You sighed while holding your arms out to him and saying, "Come on. You've gotta do more than that to hurt my feelings. You know that by now."

Yugi looked up and walked up while giving you a hug saying, "But I feel like I'm taking you for granted, and I really do want to do that."

Keeping the tears out of your eyes, you gave a small sigh while saying, "Yugi, I know how much friendship to anyone means to you. I know you wouldn't do something like that on purpose."

He pulled away with a small blush to which you smiled while picking up your backpack once again saying, "Come on, let's head to the game shop and get you caught up on that homework. Maybe even look up some Egyptian history on the computer too."

Yugi smiled while offering you his hand to which you took while pulling yourself up and walking down with your friend, aware yet not caring that he didn't let go of your hand the whole walk to the shop.

Laughing slightly at the fact that it was Yami of all people who ended up with a pie in the face, you turned back to your outraged cousin stalking back to your dining room. Finaly able to contain your laughter, you turned back to see that it was Yugi once again. Leading him into  the kitchen, you put a rag underneath the sink. Wringing out the excess water, you then started to clean up your friend's face while saying, "You'd think he would know what not to say to a girl by now."

Yugi blushed lightly before saying, "Yami said he does know, it's just that she took it the wrong way."

Chuckling once again, you leaned closer to make sure you were able to get the bits of pie out of his hair before seeing that he had blushed an even darker red, giving what you assumed to be Yami a look that absolutely screamed, 'Are you crazy!?' Snapping your fingers in front of his face, you said, "Yugi, I can't clean you up if you're not facing me."

If it was possible, your best friend blushed so much that you thought he was about to faint. You luckily had to be close to him for about two more minutes to finish cleaning him up. Rinsing out the rag and then placing it down, only to turn to feel lips on your own. Opening your eyes, you made sure that it was indeed Yugi. Looking down to see that he had somehow managed to pull up a stool and stand on it without making so much as a squeak, you smiled while kissing back. He pulled away with his blush returned full force as he stuttered out, "W-wow."

You smiled while tapping his nose and saying, "Wow, indeed."

"It took you two long enough," Tristan said to which you chuckled lightly while shrugging, placing your head on your now taller than you boyfriend considering you weren't very tall youself. Heck, the only reason you weren't picked on as much as he was was because you could kick their asses. Feeling his hand intertwine with your own.

"Seriously, what finally made you two become a couple?" Tea asked while smiling at you.

You laughed again before saying, "We all have to have our own little secrets."

She gave you a small pout before saying, "You guys have to tell us eventually."

"Maybe in a couple of years," Yugi said to which you shook your head while the others laughed.

Having experience in more than one much frightening experience, you rolled your eyes at the big guy trying to intimidate you into cheating on your very sweet and lovable boyfriend. Walking away from the guy, you silently counted down from three before turning and kicking him in the groin before he could touch you saying, "What part of 'I have a boyfriend' don't you get?"

Seeing him on the floor and whimpering in pain, you turned around again and caught up to Yugi at your table in the food court, seeing him look back at the poor guy asking, "Is he okay?"

"He has the possibility of not having children, but hey, that way there'll be even less idiots in Domino City. I think that's my good deed of the day," you said with a smile that made him roll his eyes at you. Although he was acting normal you couldn't help the small smile on your face when you saw that he gave the guy a smug smirk, that is, when he finally managed to get back up.

Yugi turned back to you while wrapping an arm around your shoulders asking, "So where to now?"

Taking his hand in your own, you said, "The movies sound good."

Despite winning the latest tournament, all Yugi wanted to do was get back to the apartment you two shared and cuddle with you for hours. Nobody could really blame him either, because he was invited with all expenses paid to this tournament all the way in the U.S. and he'd been gone for a whole two months because of all of the competitors. Figuring you were still at work considering neither of you knew when he'd be home, he was surprised when he got out of the limo (part of the expenses, even though all he really wanted/needed was a cab) and saw your car in the complex's parking lot.

Smiling since you somehow figured out he was coming home today like any other time, he walked in and greeted the landlord before heading to the elevator and pressing the number of your floor. Too exausted to stand upright, Yugi leaned against the railing while holding his two suitcases, his backpack sliding down his shoulder. Seeing the doors open, he shrugged his backpack back on while taking out his key. Walking towards the door, he quickly unlocked it before taking his baggage inside and laying it by the wall next to the door.

Yugi heard the shower running and blushed lightly before hearing you over the running water say, "Are you gonna join me or what?"

Shaking his head, Yugi walked to the bathroom door, his shirt flung onto the couch as he said, "Thought you'd never ask."

Now the two of you were laying in bed, your arms wrapped around each other and your legs entwined as you caught your breath. Smiling up at your husband, you said, "It's good to have you home."

Yugi pulled you closer as he kissed your head saying, "I'd rather be with you any day."

You yawned lightly before saying, "I love you."

The last thing you heard before falling asleep that night was him saying, "I love you too."
